I want to integrate pesapal into our website and everything is working fine except IPN (instant payment notification).i.e I am not receiving any notification
I am using demo account and I have added website domain and IPN listener url under my demo account.
From my demo account all transactions are pending.

Hi josephk123,

Please confirm the status of the transactions that were pending.

IPN is only executed when there is a status change. For example if PesaPal confirms a payment has changed from Pending to Completed or Pending to Failed.

Your system should also be hosted on a public server for IPN to work.

Thanks for your reply.

I am using a public server so network is not a problem i.e sema.shujaa.mobi

All the transactions are still pending(from my demo account dashboard) so I guess that is why IPN notifications does not run.
Does it mean that when using demo account that is demo.pesapal.com the transcation will always remain pending thus unable to simulate IPN notifications?

If yes,is there any other way I can simulate IPN notification without using live account(i.e using demo account).

Hi,

The reason IPN is not running is because the transactions are still Pending. The status hasn't changed. We are working to fix this as soon as we can.

You could simulate the IPN by running it manually. In your browser type in [ipn link]?pesapal_notification_type=CHANGE&pesapal_merchant_reference=[your reference number]&pesapal_transaction_tracking_id=[your tracking ID]

This will only update your server. The pending status on pesapal will still remain pending till we solve this.

If you have any completed transaction on PesaPal, it's best you use that transaction for simulation.
