However, there are a number of parameters un-explained well. I created a business account and got parameters which i am using to connect. I am not using any of the SDKs provided by PESAPAL because i am using a rather unpopular language around East Africa (called: ERLANG).

Now, i need to know the following

1. The business account provided to me, is it only on the demo pesapal site OR i can test it on the live pesapal domain ?
2. If i am testing the API, what parameters can i send to this service end point:

www.pesapal.com/API/PostPesapalDirectOrderV4

Because, i have tried sending the XML body you saw in the referenced thread but i was getting a Parameter rejected

3. If there are any errors such as the one i am getting, why arent they documented and ways in which one can overcome them while doing initial testing ? Also, please provide the sample test xml body one would use because i tried to keep within the manadatory fields but in vain.

4. In Uganda, is the integration with MTN Mobile Money fully ready because on reading other threads, i see answers that suggest as though Pesapal ain't yet fully integrated with MTN Mobile Money

5. Is there a minimum of maximum money figure acceptable by the API ? How come it ain't stated for those who are attempting to do integration tests ?

Please help and answer those with clarity. It is of great importance that i integrate with this API.

1. To test on demo.pesapal.com you need to open an account on demo.pesapal.com.
To use the live system, you need to open an account on www.pesapal.com.

2. Parameters required by PesaPal include:
- Currency - ISO currencies (If left out, an assumption will be the merchant's country's currency)
- Amount - Do not comma separate the value. Have it as 1000, 34567, 30, 40.56 etc
- Description
- Type - Set it as MERCHANT
- Firstname, Lastname
- Email, phone number - Atleast one of them.

3. Please have a look at the PHP Example here: developer.pesapal.com/forum/2-pesapal-in...pesapal-php-example. It's well explained on what you you need to do and the common mistakes you need to avoid.

4. MTN is yet to be activated. When this is done, the option will automatically be available for use.

5. By default, the cap is set at 70,000 KES. It's important that you agree to our terms and conditions as defined in our contract before this limit is raised. Please send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. requesting for the contract or for the limit to be raised.
