Hello,
I run an e-commerce website for purchasing videos www.iamacademy.net. I have implemented the payment system using paypal and if i trying purchasing the video using the live account, the payment status from my paypal account shows that it is completed but from the user end the status is blank and does not show the video i have purchased. If a try purchasing the same video using the demo account, everything works just fine showing the status as completed and also displays the video i have purchased. What could be the problem? Clients are complaining that they are purchasing videos which are non existent. Could you help solve this issue ASAP? |

yes i am using IPN to update the website transactions,previously the system was working fine until some few days ago.
Once the status is complete, it is supposed to show a video which the user can download or view |

What we propose
Kindly confirm within your platform that the IPN call gets to your platform. You can do this by sending email to yourself once IPN call gets to your platform, with details of every order that is complete - This removed the doubt that Pesapal is NOT communicating status update. If you receive email, it means therefore, you may need to check the process that your system goes through to enable the video for customer to view the same on their orders to confirm it works Correctly. If you DO NOT receive email, then we can look at the IPN URL to see why it doesn't get to your platform. The main reason this happens is when the IPN URL domain differs from the platform that is running the payments. e.g. if customer are buying the video from your website www.iamacademy.net then the IPN Domain and URL should also have www.iamacademy.net as the domain Let us know if you manage to find where the issue is |

I am receiving the emails with the confirmation for the payments. The problem is that the status shows up as blank when i use the live account and the video does not display (both the transaction id and reference no are displayed) but if i use the demo account, it shows the status as Completed and displays the video the client has purchased. I have checked and rechecked everything but i dont know what the problem is. I need it to be sorted out ASAP coz clients are complaining alot

By email , I meant email from your platform once IPN runs.
On our platform, there is no difference between how demo and live work, they are exactly the same. So you may need to check how you have setup IPN on both systems, and also, if IPN on the live platform gets to your system. |
