Hi all.

First off, kudos to the team at Pesapal. Very good work.

I have a question regarding data returned via pesapal api e.g. QueryPaymentDetails.

Is it possible to also provide the Amount Paid as part of the pesapal_response_data ?

This has a bearing on:
1. How do I know how much has been paid on a particular order?
2. What happens if someone has over/underapaid ?

Hi Mathayo,

Currently Pesapal does not return amount paid. However,you should capture the order amount (amount user is supposed to pay) prior to sending the data to Pesapal.Pesapal will receive this amount and compare it with the amount related to the confirmation code keyed in by the user.
1. If amount actually paid is less than amount supposed to pay,the transaction will not go through.
2. If amount actually paid is more than amount supposed to pay,Pesapal will credit your account with the amount supposed to pay and the excess will be credited to the user's Pesapal wallet which they can withdraw or use for other transactions.
