Late last year, I was working on a PHP project and I had integrated PesaPal on the site in my Localhost. Both my demo merchant and user accounts were working correctly then and my iFrame was even allowing me to perform demo payments. I recently revisited the project but the iFrame is not displaying. I get the error:

Problem: parameter_absent | Advice: > oauth_parameters_absent | Reference

I tried to login to my merchant account to confirm my consumer key and consumer secret but I keep getting the error

No user with this Username and Password found

I have even created a new merchant account but I still get the same error when I login at demo.pesapal.com

What could be the issue?

Greetings antosan,

You are not passing the merchant_reference number which is/has always been mandatory. No PesaPal modification done on PesaPal between the last time you worked on the system and now could have introduced this error.

Please check the parameters sent to PesaPal and ensure the reference variable is not blank.

LOGIN ISSUE:
1. Ensure you have opened a business/merchant account and not the personal account.
2. Use your username/password combination to login to your Merchant account.
Use your email/password combination to login to your personal account.
3. We do not send notifications (Emails/SMSs) on the demo system.
4. We do not offer support in regards to user accounts on the demo system. If your password do not work, kindly open a new accounts and make sure you have the passwords written done somewhere for future reference. NB: Without email/SMS notifications on the demo system, you can not reset your passwords.
5. On the live system, you can reset your passwords at any time. In case you still have difficulties, please contact our helpdesk team at support.pesapal.com.

Thanks so much Lazro,

I have surpassed that error thanks to your explanation.

I would like all the merchants using my system to be able to receive their payments individually, something like what happens on TicketSasa (I believe), could you kindly advice on how I can make this possible - redirecting the funds to the respective merchant accounts.

Hello Antosan,

You will have to register the business on your site and have their consumer key and secret configured in your system. Such that if i purchase an item belonging to business A, the payment iframe will be loaded using business A's key and secret.

However, the challenges you will experience with this set up include:
1. You can not purchase an item belonging to business A and another item belonging to business B with a single PesaPal payment.
2. If you redirect the funds directly to business A's PesaPal account, it means you have to think of a way to get your cut. When it comes to settlements, we shall settle the funds to business A and not you who's the website owner.
