Hi i am in the initial stage of integrating pesapal and am getting this problem:

Problem: consumer_key_unknown | Advice: > |

I am assuming that you downloaded the sample code on the forum. Before you run your code you need to get a consumer key and secret from demo.pesapal.com and set them in your code. I hope I have shed some light.

I registered on demo.pesapal.com and used the consumer key and consumer secret the system generated...but I still get he same error consumer_key_unknown|Advice:>|

So does anyone know what the problem could be? Please help.

We have two APIs one for demo.pesapal.com and the other for www.pesapal.com You have to have a merchant account for the API you are using in your code. Incase its demo.pesapal open an account with demo.pesapal and use the keys set, if its www.pesapal.com open an account at www.pesapal.com

Ensure that you also copy the correct consumer key.

This will sort you out.

Thanks alot, the peoblem was using the wrong API. I used the one from demo.pesapal.com and its working properly.

Where can I get the API for demo.pesapal.com?? When I log-in, all I get is the dashboard!!

Hi bkbrainstorm,

What API are you using? If its [http://]demo.pesapal.com ensure the key is a merchant registered in our demo site. If the API is [https://]www.pesapal.com, ensure the key belongs to a merchant registered on the live platform.

hi am having the same problem. am using drupal ubercart module with pesapa module and i hav copied the consumer key and secret correctly from demo.pesapal.com but am getting the same error. please help

Confirm that you have selected to use the the sandbox(demo) API in the plugin's configurations.

sorry to bother you again, but i cant seem to find the plugin's configurations for pesapal in drupal.could u direct me, plz? the only configuration am seeing is that of consumer key, secret and the four letter code.

someone help. my site is connecting to www.pesapal.com instead of demo.pesapal.com . am using drupal 7. help me connect to demo.pesapal.com .

i am still getting the same error after trying the API key for the sandbox account I got. Please help solve the issue..... the site is tazama-africa.com/index.php? its in opencart.

I am facing same issue, in my case, there's no way for me to issue a request for a consumer and secret keys. I have those keys for the live (pesapal.com) but not the demo site.

Any help is appreciated.
