Check out the prestashop-pesapal plugin. Its simple to install and configure. Download the attachment and unzip it. Inside you will get a zip file and a read me document that will guide you.

Do you have any test codes for testing the module on demo.I have been using live and keep getting an invalid response even for txns ids that are valid.Thanks.

Hi Kreb,

I had a look at the extension again to find out what might be the issue. Try this before we do the demo version. Go to [site path]\modules\pesapal\pesapal\checkstatus.php . In line 3 of the file you might find this "var_dump($method);exit;" Delete this line and try again..

Thanks for your response. I have one more question how long does or should the pending status persist (according to your experience). I have a pending status in demo that has lasted for 12 hrs now (a zap txn) and 2 for mpesa txns that has lasted for about 20 minutes now. (Can give you my logins via sms/email).Because I thought I should let the customer know whether the payment is successful or failed on the payment page. On average.

My email is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . Ideally the transaction is completed within less than a minutes of the transaction. In case you provide a wrong verification code, our servers will continue searching for the code in our database for a period of time before it confirms it as a failed payment. Send me a link so that we can also do a test on it.

i have Downloaded the plugin and am trying to install locally and am getting this error "zip is not installed on your server. Ask your host for further information" Need to know if there are any restriction on Local hosting.

Normally most local servers have the zip extension installed by default. Confirm if your server has this. If not, you will either have to install the zip package or else unzip the plugin content to [sitepath ]\modules\ folder

I have installed and testing the plug in on my prestashop site and it works well for lesser amounts, but if the amount is something like 100,000Kshs I get this sort of error:
Problem: parameter_rejected | Advice: invalid_value_amount_exceeds_limit> oauth_parameters_rejected | 110%2C000.00,
Is there a limit to transaction amounts?

Hi Lisam,

Pesapal has a default maximum limit of 70,000 KES. However, this limit can be reset. To do this we need you to sign a contract with us and send a request to info@pesapal , This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or any member of our business development team(if you have a contact person from pesapal) stating the reason why you need this amount reset to allow transactions more than the standard 70000KES.

I have integrated the prestashop plugin but the order does not appear in the back end after order confirmation.what could be the issue.Everything else works fine.the transaction code is submitted to your back end but the order does not show up in the back end - it remains in the cart.

I would appreciate your suggestions or help to fix this.

That means the server you are running on doesn't have the necessary software for unzipping files. Which OS are you runnning on?
